Main and Sub-arenas (3rd Floor)

  • The Main and Sub-arenas are divided by moveable partitions, making the entire area completely independent. Normal use of the Arena’s will be as divided by the partitions.
  • When the partitions are moved, the Arena can become integrated as a whole (‘One Arena’), and allows for the respective needs of each sport’s game.

Please note that moving the partitions requires a great deal of time. ‘One Arena’ reservations are not usually accepted for general use.

For use as an integrated whole area or half area.

Great flexibility for all sports with the possibility of using the Arena as an integrated area or divided into half, thirds or quarters.

Main Arena

  • Suitable for sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
  • Futsal may only be played during evening sessions between 21:00-22:30.
  • Martial arts and dance-based activities are not classed as a sport and should be held in the Sub Arena or Budo hall.

In the above tables, all circles represent position of the court line. Triangles refer to the Corner Point (which can be used by drawing a line with tape bought for a small fee. Please note that set up and removal is the responsibility of the users).
Triangle marks in the handball section of the table have no lines or points and can also be used as a futsal court.

* As a rule, audio equipment may not be used in the Main Arena, and microphones are only permitted for use when the area is integrated as a whole.

* There are 2 pairs of basket goals in the Main Arena. Please confirm when making a reservation as to whether the basket goals will be free or not.

* There are 1 pair each of goals for both handball and futsal. These goals are interchangeable between both sports.

* The Arena’s may be used for sports other than those listed in the above tables, however lines and points will not be available. Please see below for those sports in which the Main Arena is not available, and make sure to confirm with staff beforehand if the sport you wish to play is appropriate for use at the Arena.

Sub Arena

  • Suitable for such sports as basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
  • Futsal may only be played during evening sessions between 21:00-22:30.
  • Martial Arts and dance-based activities are permitted.

Meeting rooms

  • There is 1 Meeting Room on the 2nd floor, and 2 Meeting Rooms on the 3rd floor.
  • The 2 Meeting Rooms on the 3rd floor contain moveable partitions to enable use of both rooms as an integrated meeting room.
  • All Rooms on both the 2nd and 3rd floor have a capacity of 40 people.

Using the Meeting Rooms

  • Use of the Meeting Rooms requires an application form as per Group Use Procedures.
  • When using a Meeting Room, please make note on your online application via the reservation page if you require use of a microphone.
  • The Meeting Rooms contain screening facilities (including a projector and screen) at a small cost. To apply for use of the Room, please phone or visit the Gymnasium in person prior to use.
  • Please note that hours of use include clean-up time, and as such time limits should be strictly adhered to.
  • Payment for use of the Meeting Room includes use of a microphone also.
